Basil Seed Drink

A refreshing beverage made with basil seeds that promotes hydration and fullness, ideal for weight management.

Ingredients

  • Basil seeds (1 to 2 teaspoons per cup)
  • Water (cold or room temperature)
  • Lemon or lime juice (1 tablespoon per cup)
  • Sweetener (honey, sugar, or stevia, to taste)
  • Optional: mint leaves, grated ginger, or fruit slices

Instructions

  1. Measure and rinse the seeds briefly under cold water.
  2. Combine seeds and water in a jar, stirring to separate.
  3. Let sit for 15 to 30 minutes until seeds swell.
  4. Sweeten and flavor by stirring in lemon or lime juice and sweetener.
  5. Adjust texture with water if necessary, and chill for a refreshing drink.
  6. Serve with mint sprigs or fruit slices, and enjoy.

Notes
