Gelatin Weight Loss Smoothie

A chilled, slightly sweet shake that combines gelatin with fruits and liquid for a filling, low-calorie drink to manage hunger.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons cold water or 1/4 cup milk (dairy or plant)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sweetener (honey, maple, or zero-calorie sweetener) to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries
  • 3 to 4 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients and decide on the texture preference.
  2. Measure and bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water and letting it sit.
  3. Warm a portion of the liquid to dissolve the bloomed gelatin.
  4. Combine the base liquid with the dissolved gelatin and flavorings in a blender.
  5. Add fruit and ice, then blend until smooth.
  6. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 10 to 60 minutes depending on desired texture.
  7. Serve and enjoy, adding toppings if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and acidity before chilling and stir in cold liquid if too firm after chilling.
