Ingredients

  • Fresh Lemons (2-3 for ½ cup juice)
  • Gelatin (2 tablespoons)
  • Water (2 cups, divided)
  • Sweetener (optional, e.g., honey, stevia, or agave)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh lemons, gelatin, water, and optional sweetener.
  2. Dissolve gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over ½ cup of cold water and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Prepare lemon juice: Squeeze juice from lemons and measure out ½ cup. Strain if desired.
  4. Heat the mixture: Warm 1 ½ cups of water in a pot and remove from heat when warm, not boiling.
  5. Combine ingredients: Add bloomed gelatin to warm water, stir to dissolve, then mix in lemon juice and sweetener.
  6. Chill the tonic: Pour mixture into a pitcher or cups and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Serve chilled and add ice for extra refreshment.

Notes
