A simple, low-calorie gelatin-based dessert that helps curb cravings and adds hydration.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup warm water or tea
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons low-calorie sweetener or a small amount of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon citrus juice or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 scoop protein powder
  • Fresh berries or mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Measure gelatin and water. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Heat the liquid. Warm 1 cup of water or tea to about 140 to 160 F.
  3. Dissolve the gelatin. Pour the hot liquid over the bloomed gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved.
  4. Add flavor and sweetener. Stir in sweetener, citrus juice, and optional protein powder.
  5. Pour into a dish and cool. Transfer to shallow containers and cool to room temperature.
  6. Chill until set. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours until firm.
  7. Serve and store. Garnish and serve chilled, keeping leftovers in the refrigerator.

Notes

For best texture, avoid freezing as it can become grainy when thawed.
