A soothing herbal infusion that combines the floral sweetness of manuka honey with warming herbs for a calming, low-calorie drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon manuka honey (per cup)
  • 1 herbal tea bag or 1 tablespoon loose herbs (chamomile, lemon balm, or ginger)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 thin slices fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil fresh water and let it rest for 30 seconds to 1 minute; pour 8 ounces into your mug.
  2. Add your chosen herbal tea bag or 1 tablespoon of loose herbs to the hot water; if using ginger, add the slices now.
  3. Let the herbs steep for 4 to 6 minutes to develop flavor.
  4. Remove the tea bag or strain out the herbs and ginger, pressing gently to extract flavor.
  5. Allow the tea to cool for 1 to 2 minutes before stirring in 1 teaspoon of manuka honey until fully dissolved.
