Simple Canaan Honey Drink

A soothing warm beverage made from honey, lemon, and spices, perfect for supporting hydration and reducing cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
  • 8 ounces of warm water (40 to 45 degrees Celsius)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Thin slice of fresh grated ginger (optional)
  • Fresh mint or a tea bag (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water to warm, about 40 to 45 degrees Celsius; pour 8 ounces into your cup.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Squeeze in 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and stir.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon or grate a small sliver of ginger into the cup, stirring for 10 to 15 seconds.
  5. Let the drink cool or warm to a comfortable temperature and enjoy slowly.
  6. If preparing ahead, mix ingredients in a flask and keep chilled for up to 24 hours; warm gently before drinking.

Notes

Avoid using boiling water as it can degrade honey’s beneficial properties. Adjust sweetness to your preference and enjoy this drink as part of a mindful eating routine.
