Agar Jelly – A Guilt-Free Alternative to Gelatin

A delicious agar jelly recipe that serves as a low-calorie substitute for traditional gelatin desserts.

  • 12 tablespoons Agar Agar Powder
  • Sweetener (optional): Honey, Maple Syrup, or Stevia
  • Flavorings (optional): Vanilla Extract, Lemon Juice, or Natural Fruit Flavors

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Pour 2 cups of water or fruit juice into a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add Agar Agar: Gradually whisk in 1-2 tablespoons of agar agar powder and stir continuously until completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  3. Sweeten and Flavor: Stir in any desired sweeteners and flavorings to taste.
  4. Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the mixture into molds or cups and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Refrigerate: Transfer to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set completely.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Once set, remove from molds and serve chilled with fresh fruit or a drizzle of honey.
